This picture can only be called "IDENTITY CRISIS". Now, is this a Conrail Covered Hopper, or an Erie Lackawanna Covered Hopper??? You be the judge. This photo was taken at a on-line industry on Conrail's Boston & Albany in Chatham, NY.

In August 1995, there was a major derailment on Conrail's Boston & Albany main line in Chatham, New York. The line was closed for several days, and slow orders for a week after while repairs were being made. This picture is the first in a series of shots taken while repairs were being made. Here, a Maine Central boxcar lies in the middle of a residential street after falling from the elevated main line.
