New York, Susquehanna, & Western SD45 6542 leads another SD45 and a NYS&W Business Train. The SD45s are both still in Burlington Northern paint. Photo by Rich Fritz.

The early 1980s were certainly interesting on the Susquehanna! Here in June 1985 we see a NYS&W Extra on NJ TRANSIT's Main Line in Ho-Ho-Kus, New Jersey. The consist is GP18 1802, followed by a C420, and then a C430. Don't you love New Jersey??? Photo by Rich Fritz

You never know what you're going to find on a Susquehanna train in New Jersey. Evidence of this is shown with this picture of a HATX Leasing Ex-Southern Pacific SD45 crossing the Overpeck Creek in Ridgefield Park, NJ.

March 1997 sees NYS&W SW9 120 and GP38 2012 sitting in the sun at Ridgefield Park, NJ.

Sitting nearby, SD45 3612 receives minor maintenance.

The unit is coupled to Canadian Pacific's semi-UP painted SD40-2 5424.

Pictured out west was NYS&W SD45 3618, trailing a TP&W GP20 during Delaware-Otsego's ownership of TP&W. This was an intermodal train operating on trackage rights over BNSF at Fort Madison, IA.
