At Penn Station, Amtrak P32DMAC 703 sits at the head end of Hudson Valley Service train #265 - service to Albany-Rensselaer, New York. On runs which used to be in the charge of FL9s and Turboliners, Genesi now rule.

Amtrak FL9 484 is coupled to an E60 electric locomotive at Penn Station, New York. This Empire Service train would depart for Albany within the hour.

Fresh from Bombardier, and just off a test run, Metro-North Comet IV Cab Car 6302 boards passengers at Grand Central Terminal for a late afternoon run to Poughkeepsie in June 1996.

Out of all remaining FL9s, none are as unique as ConnDOT's New Haven-painted units. These units are pooled with Metro-North's FL9s for use on all three Metro North east-of-the-Hudson rail lines, along with Bombardier cars from ConnDOT and MN. Here, ConnDOT FL9 2016 and a Metro-North sister push a Grand Central-bound train from Poughkeepsie into Croton-Harmon in early January 1997.

Later in the day, a successor to the FL9, Amtrak P32AC-DM 700, accelerates out of Croton-Harmon towards New York's Penn Station with an Amtrak Empire Service train.

At Tarrytown, New York several years ago, an Amtrak Turboliner runs its last miles from Penn Station to Albany, New York.
